Aerial Photography & Videography for Real Estate

Using aerial photography and videography with drones in North Carolina is quickly becoming an essential part of commercial and residential real estate marketing. Aerial drone photos and videos add a whole new perspective to homes, buildings, and complexes that are ready to sell. Buyers can see them in relation to their immediate surroundings, their neighborhood, and the extended area for several miles.

Commercial Real Estate

Commercial real estate properties such as office complexes, apartments, and shopping centers, cannot be seen from a single vantage point on the ground. Aerial photography and videography easily solve this problem! From the sky, a drone can not only see your entire property, it can also show what surrounds it. This is very important to potential clients, investors, and buyers. With drone videos and photos, you’ll be able to show them parking locations, major access points, landscaping, and more.

With professionally captured drone photos and videos, you will create a higher level of interest in your property that will more likely compel someone to take action. It’s an investment that more than pays for itself nearly every time.

Residential Real Estate

According to the National Association of Realtors, 50% of real estate companies in the US use drone photographs and/or videos to market the homes they’re selling. This number will continue to rise as more homeowners and real estate agents realize the tremendous advantage aerial images give them in the real estate market.

Statistics gathered from Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and reported by Real Estate Magazine show just how significant the advantage is when using drone videos and photos. According to their research, properties with aerial images captured by a drone are 68% more likely to sell than properties without them. This is making aerial photography and videography more of a necessity in real estate marketing, and drones make getting them more affordable than ever.

Video is the most popular form of communication online today, and this makes it the most effective marketing tool for businesses. Drone video used with aerial photography is becoming very popular, too. Your audience can get the “big picture” of the work you do and where you do it like never before when they see it from the sky. Here are just a few possibilities for marketing using drone video and aerial photography:

Golf courses and recreational facilities– Locals and others from outside the community can appreciate the full scope of what is available to them.

Landscapers– Seeing a beautifully landscaped area from the air helps viewers to appreciate it much more! They will appreciate how each feature looks in relation to its surroundings.

Outdoor events– Concerts, festivals, races, and other outdoor events benefit from drone video. Lively crowds seen from the air enjoying an event make for very effective marketing material! Event organizers can also use drone video and photos to show booth locations to potential sponsors and participants.

Construction & Development

Contractors can manage construction projects more efficiently with aerial photography and videography. Drone videos and photos are essential tools for those who do work on a large scale, such as building contractors, landscapers, and industrial construction. Here are ways they use aerial video for their businesses:

Building contractors– Aerial video and photo images are used to record the progress of construction for structures of all sizes. They’re also used to inspect difficult-to-reach places such as roofs, bridges, towers, etc. Surveying a construction site can be done quickly and more efficiently with drone videos and photos, and this will certainly reduce costs, too!

Industrial construction and land management– Construction companies that build industrial complexes, shopping centers, and bridges need to keep an eye on the big picture as well as the small details. Our ultra high-definition drones show them both.

From site surveying to final inspection, our drones can see your entire project from start to finish!

Why Choose MVP Video & Promotions for Drone Videography and Photography?

Managing Partner Ken Morrison is a certified drone pilot licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Becoming a licensed drone pilot requires extensive knowledge of aeronautical charts, national airspace classifications, weather patterns, drone technology, federal regulations, and state and local laws related to drone use. Once the coursework is complete, pilot candidates must then pass a rigorous test administered by the FAA to receive their license.

“Why do I have to hire a licensed drone pilot?”

The FAA’s Part 107 rules state that any drone missions flown for commercial purposes must have a licensed remote pilot in command. Anyone flying commercially without a license can face significant fines as a result. Only those who are flying solely for recreational purposes are not required to be licensed.

Flying a drone, whether commercially or recreationally, is not easy and can be very dangerous if not done properly. We take every flying mission seriously to ensure we get the best photos and videos for our clients while maintaining the highest safety standards for our crew and the public at large.

What is a drone?

Drones have rapidly grown in popularity in the United States over the last few years, so chances are you’ve at least heard someone talking about them.

So what exactly is a drone?

A drone is an aircraft that is formally called an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). They are part of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) consisting of a UAV and a ground-based controller that communicates with it. Drones vary in size, typically ranging from several ounces to several pounds. At MVP Video & Promotions, we fly a DJI Mavic Air 2 (pictured at left). It measures 12 inches across, weighs just over one pound, and can fly up to 42 miles per hour.

Commercial drones are equipped with a gimbal and camera. A gimbal is a sophisticated device that keeps the camera level and stable during flight so that the video footage and photographs that are recorded look very smooth and sharp.
